In June 1922, Warwickshire was playing Hampshire at Birmingham. After being sent in, Warwickshire scored 223 off 55.3 overs (Santall 84), and then dismissed the entire Hampshire team for 15. Harry Howell took 7-6 off 4.5, and The Hon Freddie Calthorpe 4-4 off 4. As they would, they sent Hampshire back in to follow on.
Hampshire made it to 15 without loss this time, and went on to reach 8-274. Then things went a bit crazy. George Brown made 172 off 285 balls, and Walter Livsey reached 110* batting at number 10. They finished the innings on 521, and then got rid of Warwickshire for 158, to win the match by 155 runs.
