Thoughts on the Opening Ceremony

Well, things have finished up, and all in all, that was a pretty good opening ceremony.

By no means the disaster we thought it would be, there were plenty of comments made. Here are mine, and a few other people’s (who you should follow if you want, except perhaps Buzzfeed), presented as tweets.


(Obviously, I meant flags here. If your country’s fans are triangular, then you have some reasonably sized problems.)

The answer to yesterday’s question was the 1920 Olympics in Antwerp. The sailing events for those Olympics were held in the Netherlands.

Today’s question for you: at what Olympics was the cauldron lit by a flaming arrow?
