The last team covered in our Top 100 stats is the premier team from 2016 (for no other reason than alphabetical order). Considered to be a young team, the Bulldogs have a good mix of older, mid experienced and emerging stars which should give their fans a number of milestones to celebrate in 2017:
The missing favourite player of everyone in 2016 (Robert Murphy), returns to hopefully pass the 300 game milestone early in the season. Already in the Top 100 game players of all time (he sits in 80th position) he currently has played 295 games. He also sits in 7th position on the Bulldogs all time game players and is joined in the Top 10 at the club by unsung hero Matthew Boyd (9th) who will be hoping to play the handful of games that would see him also break into the Top 100 AFL/VFL game players of all time.
Others to watch are Luke Dahlhaus and Jordan Roughead (cousin of new Hawk captain Jarrod) who would be hoping to continue their march up the Top 100 and ensure invitations to the end-of-year celebrations for many years to come.
Amongst the Top 100 goal kickers the most impressive is Jake Stringer who is already the 36th most successful goal kicker at the club despite not yet qualifying in the Top 100 game players! Other goal kickers of note are Robert Murphy (#28), Tory Dickson (#33) Luke Dahlhaus (#60) Matthew Boyd (#67) Liam Picken (eq # 92) and Marcus Bontempelli who needs only 2 goals to join the elite Top 100 goal kickers at the club.
