Last Night’s Game: Top 100 Stats Highlights

There was no joy for the Demons last night (both off and on the field), and the same applied to their Top 100 game and goals elite. The only two current Melbourne players inside the Demons Top 100 game players (Nathan Jones and Jack Watts) were both absent last night! The same situation applied to the club’s only four current Top 100 goal kickers (Jones, Watts, Jeff Garlett and Jesse Hogan)!
On the other hand, Sydney were well served with all the seven current game players in the Top 100 on the field:
Jarryd McVeigh advanced in the AFL all time list and now shares equal 91st position with Bill Hutchinson, Dean Cox and Matthew Boyd.
Whilst his game last night did not advance him any higher on the Swans Top 100 list, some of the other swans did advance:
Heath Grundy drew level with Jack Graham
Kieran Jack joined Dennis Carroll
and Luke Parker equalled Terry Brain.
Amongst the goal kickers for the swans, Lance Franklin’s 4 goals saw him pass Laurie Nash and equal Stephen Wright on the club list, and Luke Parker’s one goal drew him level with Ian Gillett.
Kieran Jack’s goal left him only one short of the 150 goals milestone.
